Serving Opportunities
How You Can Serve at Branch
(Don’t worry, we will show you how to do these positions!)
Greeter
A Greeter opens the door with a warm smile, welcomes each person with a friendly greeting and helps set a welcoming tone. You are the first face people will see!
Worship Team
Play an instrument? Love to sing? We would love to have you join us in beholding the King & leading the congregation in worship unto Him! If you have any interest, let’s chat.
Nursery
The Nursery is available the full service. In here you will play, read, change diapers if needed, provide snacks, and hold some precious little ones.
Ignited Youth
Be ready to bring the energy! Our Youth kids are a fun bunch, you will help facilitate the time (Pastor Greg leads it). ALSO once a month we provide a meal and need volunteers to cook one!
Communion Bread-baking
This is a serving position done at home! You will prepare unleavened bread to share on the 2nd Sunday of each month. We can give you a recipe if you need, trust us, you don’t have to be an experienced bread maker!
Weekly Prayer Partner
This is a opportunity for you at home during the week to intentionally intercede for Branch, the people, various weekly requests, leaders, Paulding, etc. We encourage you to be led by the spirit, be intentional, and bold. Lay hands on someone, fast if you feel led, whatever the Lord calls you to.
First Impressions
We all know first impressions are important. Here you will help show guests around the building, answer all their questions, and help them feel comfortable. You will stand in the foyer.
Slides (lyrics & scriptures)
On the computer, you will begin the countdown to kick off service. Then, during worship, you will ensure the correct lyrics are on the screen and put up scripture during the sermon.
Little Sprouts Class
This class is for ages 4-6 range, this class begins after worship time. You will lead a Bible story from our curriculum, do a craft, and let them have some free play time.
Second Sunday Food Prep
As the crockpots and dishes come in, you will help organize them for the eating time. You may need to leave service a little early and head downstairs to ensure everything is warm and ready to eat.
Lead Communion
Every second Sunday we take communion together. You will lead us in this time! You will provide a short encouragement, read scripture, and lead everyone through the time. Seek the Lord, He will help you step out in faith!
Community Events
We are passionate about being involved in the Paulding community. We love to open our building for community events, or representing Branch whenever we can. This is not a regular serving opportunity, but one that provides connection and allows us to love our community.
Coffee & Donuts Prep
Yum! You will help brew the coffee, make sure everything is stocked, cut donuts, and set out the snacks. Before you leave you will help clean it up.
Sound
Do you have a good ear for audio? We use volunteers to operate the mixer, leveling the sound in the main room to make the morning service sound great!
Kids Class
You will teach a prepared lesson from our curriculum with enthusiasm and passion, answer questions best you can, pray, and build rapport with the kiddos. You will work closely with Amanda, our director!
Second Sunday Clean-Up
This is a huge need! After all the fun and eating we need help cleaning up. This means vacuuming, washing dishes, moving tables, etc. Many hands make light work!
Communion Usher
Every second Sunday of the month we take communion. The ushers will prep the items, administer the elements to all the people, and clean trays afterwards.
Building Projects/Maintenance
We want our building to feel like an inviting “home” for our church family and community, but being such an old building, needs frequently pop up for maintenance and updating. If you enjoy working with your hands, help of any skill level is welcome and appreciated.
We love to host the Lord's presence and His people well! We believe the Lord cares about all the details and honors our obedience. Branch has no full-time staff, so we need those willing to serve!
1 Colossians 3:23-24 says, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
We pray that as you serve it will strengthen your relationship with the Lord, your fellow brothers and sisters, and your heart for His people. We encourage you to use your God-given strengths to serve one another (1 Peter 4:10-11).
